Odds and Ends - 2

In Canada we're familiar with 20lb. propane tanks commonly used for BBQs. Here in Ecuador the size used for cooking and water heating is 30lb.
Wouldn't it be nice to only pay $2.25 per refill?  That's the price here, delivered and picked up!  Commonly your usage for cooking and hot water each month are only 2 tanks of propane, or $5.00.  Prices are so low because of government subsidies.

One phone call and the propane men arrive to pick up your empty tank and deliver your new full one.  Just $2.25, thanks!

It's a rare day when the tops of the surrounding mountains can be seen.  Due to the high elevation the mountain tops are usually shrouded in clouds.
I took this photo yesterday a few hours before sunset. Along the bottom of the hills can be seen houses in the many native Quichua villages.
